    Yes, that gob looks like muffler joint sealant...

    I was looking at the edge of the tips, it looks like a grey/white deposit on the outer tips... do you have a not-so-close-up pic of the tips...?

    Joe the tips are polished when they get dirty it looks like that its not actually anything from the exhaust you are seeing there. I still cant figure out why my car was running so much better WOT on the AUTOVE tune. Would the maf have anything to do with that since my tune was not SD before? Looks like it just reads off my PE table though under WOT. The VE tune was richer and the car felt faster for sure.
