    Default Clutch Relearn?

I've known about the CRL but am of the impression that the 08 Corvette would require a clutch relearn as well.

Anyone done this or have a link to site with steps to take to complete clutch relearn?

We have the Clutch Learn function in EFILive, in the DVT's of the scantool. You can also log the learn voltages once done.
ChuckCow on here has done it I am sure, initially with the TechII but in the end I think we got it working with EFILive too.

    Cheers,
    Ross

    Ross:

Any chance you would have any documentation regarding clutch relearn? I have done an extensive search in Google with little success especially as it relates to 08 Corvette.

I don't have any documentation on it as the instructions are on the TechII (which I have on loan to someone at the moment).
But from memory all you need to do is press the clutch in fully, press the "Clutch Pedal Learn Reset" button in the DVT panel.
Then let the clutch out and turn IGN off for 20 seconds.

You can monitor the status of the relearn using the PID's -

GM.CPPALRNST "Clutch Pedal Fully Applied Position Learn Status"
GM.CPPALRN "Clutch Pedal Fully Applied Learned Voltage"
GM.CPPRLRN "Clutch Pedal Released Learned Voltage"

The last two must show valid voltages once the learn is complete.

    Cheers,
    Ross

Just had a conversation with a GM Master Tech. There is no clutch relearn for the manual transmission. The clutch relearn applies to auto tranny only.

Bruce Melton confirmed same thing based on his experiences.

    Thanks Bruce!

There is clutch learn on (late) M6's, as the clutch pedal has a position sensor vs switches, and as Ross notes, Chuck CoW has been through this.

The only tech initiated learn the A6 trans has is Fast Learn (Adapts) after a reflash etc, to initialise the adapt settings.

I have not heard back from Chuck. I went to a source I trust, after all, he is a master tech. Now, if you are saying he is wrong, can you share the process for a clutch relearn and what vehicles does it apply to?
