On the screw in connector, make sure the pins are not pulled back.
If they are unseated you will have problems.
That weather proof connector can be unscrewed and you can push the pins in.

    Yep! Me too.
I can't understand why you guys seem to be against doing this?

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T
MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE
    DUCT TAPE.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I think the only reason a lot of people don't do this is they do not want to pull their RR apart , or they are not experiencing these problems. I know if I didn't have to touch any of mine I wouldn't.
It's all good until it goes "Bang"
