I installed version 7.5 and now my AFR map does not display AFR, it diplays the voltage output I think.

How do I get this straight?

Thanks,
Glenn

Glenn,

Do you have FlashScan V1 or V2...?

If you have V2, read this:

Are you using analog AFR (connected via orange block) or serial AFR (connected via RJ12)...?

Either way, on the V2 LCD/keypad navigate to Options->Setup->Edit Settings, and then do this:

- if you're using analog AFR, set/enable the following parameters:
A/D PIDs

- if you're using serial AFR, set/enable the following parameters:
Ser PIDs
COM In
WO2 Type
WO2 fmt
WO2 Data

If your V2 LCD menu does not have those options, then you will have to update the bootblock/firmware also (i.e. install V8 and then carefully read and understand the upgrade/update document, do not proceed until you are clear on what is about to happen):

Oh, with a V1 you should just select the AFR_LC11 and BEN_LC11 pids.

In your AFR and BEN maps, edit the map properties: on the Data tab set AFR_LC11 as the data.

You may have to validate pids first.

Joe,

Everything you asked is done. I transferred everything over from 7.3 and the data tabs in my map properties are correct.

When I am in F9, the data page in the scanner, I can see the AFR and it corresponds pretty well with when my LC1 gauge is putting out.

However, when I hit F11 to watch my maps, the AFR map is not showing AFR, but anywhere from 1.1 to 7.0 give or take.

The only thing different about my maps in 7.5 from 7.3 is that my BEN map is no longer in map A, it is in map C and my AFR is in map B. My cylinder air is in map A.

Would this be the problem?

I will go try it anyways.

Thanks,
glenn

I just realized that my dash board is in Kilometers and C.

Maybe this is the problem. I am searching how to change it.

I opened the tuning tool>properties>data tab and I chose the AFR but the Stoich number is still grayed out.

Could this be the issue?

It's the default setting that EFILive employs

page 64 of the tune tool manual:

EFILive uses the PCM’s calibrated value for stoichiometry {B3601}, which may be set slightly lower (richer) than 14.7 (i.e. 14.63). If the calibration does not contain {B3601}, then EFILive substitutes the value 14.63 for stoichiometry.

APPENDIX-B STOICHIOMETRY page 100 of the tune tool manual:

The stoichiometric value used by the PCM is defined in one of two ways:
1. As calibration {B3601} Or if that calibration is not configured in the PCM (most late models do not have that calibration) then
2. As the constant 14.63

Your problem seems to be with the configuration of the maps you are using,
zip those maps and post the zip.

Thanks for all the help Gentleman,

I have never posted files like this, so I will work on it shorlty.

Would you guys be opposed if I emailed you the files?

Thanks,

Right click> send to> Compressed (zip) file.
Go Advanced> Manage Attachments> select zipped folder
or like Joecar said post a screen shot.

Other than you running lean, I saw nothing wrong with the data in the log.
Kudos to hitting 105kPa :thumb_yello:

Yeah, I knew it was lean and I added fuel. It is fatter now.

The problem is, why can't I read AFR on my AFR LC1 map?

Thanks,
Glenn

Goto that map, edit properties on that map, goto Data tab, select AFR_LC11 for the data.

(post a screenshot of your map properties Data tab display).

Why do you think this will work?

I just opened your log with this map and AFR displayed properly,
maybe your MAP is corrupted or something.

Try using the map shown in the attached image... (this is what mr.prick and I see from your log file).

Okay I will try it, but how does it monitor my boost VE?

Thanks,
Glenn

joecar
March 23rd, 2009, 04:46 AM
Try it to see if it shows the right numbers... if ok, then edit the columns to cover your boost range (and save with a new filename).

Ahh haa, I knew you guys would be on top of this:hihi:

Hopefully will have more info within the next few days.

Thanks,
Glenn

Okay, good news. It worked.

However, when I added more columns for my boost VE to fit into you can't see the whole AFR number. See below.

My old AFR table did not have this problem. Any advice on how to shift the number over in the cell so you can see it or shrink the number so you can see it?

thanks,
glenn

joecar

In the map properties goto the Cells tab and set the cell width statically bigger.

Thanks everyone for all of the help.
