Hey guys i'm wanting to swap over to ls2 knock sensors. I see that racetronics has a harness that plugs right into the factory harness. some people have said that they had problems tuning the computer to work with them. Has anyone here has any experiance doing this type of thing?

Hello Greg,

Sorry haven't had much time for the Forum lately. Controlling LS2 knock sensors with an LS1-B PCM is common in LS2 conversions that were originally equipped with the E40 ECM. In your case, you only have to deal with the knock sensors - not the LS2 TB, TAC, and APP.

Set B1402 to "Flat Response LS2" - and follow the wiring instructions listed in the description. As far as configuring the knock sensors goes, you will have to merge some of current settings with those from a reasonable comparator (in weight) - like a 2006 LS2 Trailblazer SS.

Cheers,
Taz

I used an extension harness to mount ls1 knock sensors to the side of the block in my l92 416. Haven't had an issue in over 5 years.
