Default How to plot a VE table

    Hi all,

Well we've been pretty busy in the scantool department in the latest update. Part of this update included adding DMA PID's for the E38. DMA PID's allow us to log data that is not normally available from the ECM using SAE or GM PID's.
In the scantool in the PID/system selection drop down list you will see a group called 'E38 ECM'. These are specific DMA PID's just for the E38 (E67 to follow).
A number of these PID's are aimed at taking the confusion out of the VE table make up of the E38/E67. At this stage we have not included all the VE components in the cal files that make up the VE calculation because are trying to implement a nice method of doing this, but, what we have done is added some PID's that will actually plot a real VE table in the scantool maps. (Map file is in this post to download).

There is plenty of other interesting PID's in there to log too

What we have found is the E38 really slows down once you get above 30 channels (I think it was 30), we are looking into this being an EFILive issue or the ECM switching to a different scan mode once a cerain number of PID's is selected. Either way, if you keep the channel count at or below 24 you will get super fast logging speeds. Be wary now that some E38 PID's take 4 channecalculationls!, so choose with care.

    Cheers,
    Ross
